Replicating the Past
With support from Canada Council for the Arts, in August of 2024 I travelled to the capital of Guatemala to conduct research on prehispanic jewelry pieces at the Museo Popol Vuh and the Museo de las Americas. My research included attempting to recreate pieces in the methods with with they were produced, in this particular case with the lost wax method.
